Garbage Pickup Update

Posted 9/2/21:  From the Town of Edisto Beach: Next week garbage pickup will be Tuesday, September 7 and Saturday, September 11, 2021. Once weekly garbage pickup begins on September 13, 2021 and runs until Memorial Day 2022. Excess garbage can be taken to the convenience station using the walk-in gate (24/7) or drive through during convenience station open hours.

Town Passes Emergency Ordinance 2020-08 Regarding COVID-19

Posted March 20, 2020:  The Town has passed a new emergency ordinance in response to COVID-19.  To view the ordinance, click Emergency Ordinance 2020-08 (PDF)  Access to Edisto Beach will be restricted for the next 14 days.  Also, there will be no pick up of yard waste until further notice.  The convenience station will remain open.  Questions should be directed to the Town of Edisto Beach.

Storm Debris Pickup

Posted 10/1/19: Storm debris pickup will begin inside Ocean Ridge on Tuesday, October 1, and is expected to be completed in approximately 3 weeks.

Yard trash is not included in this program, only storm debris.

Brush, limbs, and shrubbery must meet the specifications as outlined below:

  • No brush, limbs, or shrubbery trimmings greater than six inches in diameter.
  • No brush, limbs, or shrubbery trimmings greater than five feet in length with all small limbs trimmed from larger limbs.
  • Weigh no more than 30 pounds each.
  • No garbage or construction debris (building materials) may be mixed with storm trash. Such mixtures will not be picked up.
